Bernard Buxton Obituary

Bernard Robert Buxton, 72, of Williamsport passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2024 at his home.
Born February 27, 1952, he was the son of the late Robert and Constance Ridley Buxton.
Bernard worked for Williamsport Bureau of Transportation for over 30 years.
He enjoyed talking on the phone and playing PlayStation.
Surviving are his children: Damean (Linda) Buxton, Sr. of Las Vegas, Damone (Shannon) Buxton, Sr. of Harrisburg, Darien (Alisha Matthews) Buxton, Sr. of Pittsburgh and Carla and James Emory of Jersey Shore; a step-son, Justin (Stacy) Holt of Williamsport; nephew, Terrill Seward Buxton, wife, Carol Buxton of Hughesville; sisters: Gloria Buxton and Cynthia Vanetta, both of Williamsport and Caroline Buxton of Ohio; brother-in-law, Russel Roebuck; nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and his partner who cared for him during his illness, Tammy Persun of Williamsport.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Roebuck and daughters, Kenya and Kendra Buxton.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12-3 PM at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St., Williamsport.
Arrangements are under the direction of Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
