Phyllis Marie Dicello, 76, of 200 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 with her family by her side.
She was born in Mill Hall on January 4, 1941, daughter of Helen Hoy Powers and Boyd F. Powers, Sr.
She was united in marriage to Joseph M. Dicello, Sr., the former owner of Dicello Beverage, in Lock Haven on June 10, 1961 whom passed away June 7, 2002.
She graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School and attended Lock Haven Teacher’s College.
She was a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi, past United Way board member, Lock Haven branch leader of the Miss Clinton Pageant for ten years, and the business owner of the Beer Dock until her retirement.
She was the proud mother of Joseph M. (Karen) Dicello, Jr. of Lock Haven and Toni A. (Charles) Venezia of Fairview Village; three grandchildren: J. Michael Dicello, III, Francesca Rose Venezia, and Charles Venezia, Jr.; a sister, Marjorie (Ken) Lachat of Nortumberland; a sister-in-law, Shirley Powers Bennett; a brother-in-law, Paul C. Dietrich; three nieces: Peg Duck, Dawn Rymes, and Diane DeMarte; three nephews, Lou Brungard, Gary Powers, and Clarence (Tuffy) Rine, Jr. whom she lived with as a teenager; and many local cousins, great nieces and nephews, and special dear friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine (Harold) Brungard and Betty (Clarence) Rine and two brothers, Boyd (Mary) Powers, Jr. and Blair Powers.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 12 noon at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County United Way through the funeral home.
