Obituary for Augusta "Gussie" Fetzer

Augusta Hazel “Gussie” Fetzer, 89, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Susque View Home, Lock Haven.
Born on February 19, 1928 in Broad Top, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Lillian Weight Cornellius.
Gussie was a 1946 graduate of Roberts Dale High School.
In 1948 she married Arthur Lincoln Fetzer, with whom she celebrated 54 years of marriage before his passing in 2002.
Throughout the years, Gussie was employed by Sylvania and then as a waitress at a couple restaurants before becoming a housekeeper.
She was a member of the Wright Street Church of Christ, Flemington.
Gussie loved crocheting and sewing.
She also enjoyed reading and playing cards and was a Bingo enthusiast.
Surviving is her son, Robert S. (Cynthia) Fetzer of Georgia; two sisters, Donna Ramsey of Defiance and Larue Shaffer of Everett; two grandchildren, Jennifer Anthony and Angela Vanderburg; and five great grandchildren: Zachary Vanderburg, Brittany Vanderburg, Gavin Anthony, Gabriel Anthony, and Savannah Vanderburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Carson.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Terry Burnell of Wright St. Church of Christ officiating. Private burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Gussie’s name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
