The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Caprio can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to all of the Caprio family! I have fond memories growing up in Lock Haven as a little girl and visiting the barbershop on Saturday's with my dad, Joe Q. Always a pot of hot Italian sausage on in the back room, the barber shop was the go-to spot for my dad and many others! Jay was a sweet and kind man who will be greatly missed! Hugs to you Rose! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time!

Condolence: I am very sorry to hear of Jay's passing. He and his brother where my barbers for almost 20 years. True gentlemen in every sense of the word. It was more than a haircut, they made you feel like you were part of the family and if you were lucky you got invited to have some of what was cooking in the back. Caprio's barber shop is the end of an era but will always hold great memories in our hearts.

Condolence: There are no words to describe my sorrow on Jay's death. He was a kind and wonderful person and one of the most talented and gifted guitar players I ever had the pleasure to work with. His smile was infectious. He always shared his pack of gum with me on jobs. He taught me so much about music and how to feel the songs.
I am just so glad I knew Jay, was his friend and had the opportunity to make music with him.
I am sorry that I cannot make the funeral or the viewing due to other commitments this weekend. My prayers for all of you.
